(a) Elements of Offense.

The court shall review each offense charged, including the necessary elements that must be proven beyond a reasonable doubt.

(b) Consideration of Evidence.

Jurors shall be instructed on how to properly consider:

  1. direct and circumstantial evidence;
  2. testimony of witnesses, including credibility assessments; and
  3. exhibits and other admitted materials.

(c) Verdict Procedure.

The court shall instruct the jury regarding:

  1. deliberation procedures;
  2. requirements for unanimous or special verdicts; and
  3. returning the verdict to the court.

(d) Special Considerations.

Where applicable, the court may provide additional instructions regarding:

  1. lesser-included offenses;
  2. multiple counts or defendants;
  3. aggravating and mitigating factors relevant to sentencing; and
  4. use of non-propensity evidence or limiting instructions.
