(a) Oath of Service.

Jurors shall swear or affirm to:

  • impartially evaluate all evidence presented;
  • follow the court’s instructions regarding the law; and
  • maintain confidentiality regarding deliberations.

(b) Prohibited Conduct.

Jurors shall not:

  • discuss the case outside of official deliberations;
  • access or consume media, communications, or information relating to the case outside the courtroom;
  • conduct independent investigations or interviews of witnesses; or
  • engage in any behavior that could compromise impartiality or the integrity of the trial.

(c) Judicial Enforcement.

The court may admonish, remove, or replace any juror who violates the obligations set forth in this subsection to preserve the fairness and integrity of the trial.
