A person is guilty of Creating a False Report under this subsection if he or she:

(a) falsely reports an emergency situation causing an emergency response; or

(b) with knowledge that there is no active emergency, activates equipment typically reserved for alerting people to danger during emergency situations (such as, but not limited to, a fire alarm or emergency siren).

(c) this subsection does not apply to a horn on a motor vehicle or other such similar devices.

Creating a False Report is a Gross Misdemeanor.
