View source for (6)7.1.11 Resisting Arrest with Violence

A [[(6)1_Definitions#(6)1.1_Person|person]] is guilty of <b>Resisting Arrest with Violence</b> under this subsection if he or she:

(a) [[(6)1_Definitions#(6)1.2_Willfully|willfully]] physically makes a true effort to resist a lawful arrest by an authorized law enforcement officer of themselves; and

(b) does so actively; and

(c) uses violence or threat of immediate violence during this course of conduct.

Resisting Arrest with Violence is a <b>Class C Felony</b>.
