(7)4.1.8 Doors

A driver shall not operate a motor vehicle on a public roadway unless all doors are properly secured and functional. Door requirements include:

(a) All doors shall be capable of closing and latching securely to prevent accidental opening during operation.

(b) Doors shall not be obstructed, damaged, or modified in a manner that compromises the safety of occupants.

(c) Drivers shall ensure that all passengers remain inside the vehicle with doors properly closed while it is in motion.

Violation of this subsection is a Level 4 Infraction.
