(7)3.3.4 Construction Zones

A driver operating a motor vehicle on or near a roadway under construction, maintenance, or repair shall:

(a) Obey all posted signs and signals: Drivers shall comply with reduced speed limits, lane closures, detours, and other traffic control devices in construction zones.

(b) Exercise heightened caution: Drivers shall remain alert for workers, construction vehicles, and equipment, and be prepared to stop or slow as necessary.

(c) Do not impede construction traffic: Drivers shall not obstruct or interfere with authorized construction vehicles or personnel.

(d) Resume normal operation safely: After leaving the construction zone, drivers may return to standard speed and lane patterns when it is safe to do so.

Violation of this subsection constitutes a Level 3 Infraction.
