(7)3.2.4 Responsibility at a Crosswalk

A driver operating a motor vehicle approaching a crosswalk shall:
(a) Yield to pedestrians: Drivers shall yield the right of way to pedestrians lawfully within or entering the crosswalk.
(b) Stop when necessary: Drivers shall stop if required to allow pedestrians to cross safely.
(c) Proceed only when clear: Drivers shall not enter a crosswalk until it is completely clear of pedestrians.
(d) Exercise continuous caution: Even when no pedestrians are immediately present, drivers shall remain alert and prepared to stop for any pedestrian attempting to cross.
Violation of this subsection constitutes a Level 5 Infraction.
