(7)3.1.4 Merging

A driver entering or merging onto a public roadway shall:

(a) Yield to traffic already on the roadway, adjusting speed and position as necessary to merge safely.

(b) Merge smoothly: Drivers shall accelerate or decelerate as needed to merge without disrupting the normal flow of traffic.

(c) Maintain lane discipline: After merging, drivers shall remain in their lane unless safely and lawfully executing a lane change.

Violation of this subsection constitutes a Level 3 Infraction.
