(1)3.2 Federal Cooperation
(a) Lawful actors under this code shall respect and not interfere with the lawful authority of federal agencies, courts, or officials.
(b) Legal actors shall cooperate with federal authorities when requested or required by law, regulation, or official directive, including providing information, assistance, or enforcement support, so long as such cooperation is consistent with the rights and protections afforded under this code.
(c) In matters where federal interests outweigh state or local interests, or where federal jurisdiction is necessary to achieve the proper administration of justice, lawful actors shall yield or cede authority to federal authorities to the extent necessary, provided such actions are documented and undertaken in good faith.
(d) Nothing in this section shall relieve lawful actors of their obligations under this code; all cooperation with federal authorities shall be conducted in a manner that preserves fairness, legality, and the ethical standards required of legal actors.
