(7)4.1.11 Turn Signals & Hazard Lights
A driver shall not operate a motor vehicle on a public roadway unless the vehicle’s turn signals and hazard lights are fully functional and used in accordance with law. Signal and hazard light requirements include:
(a) Turn signals shall be operational on both front and rear of the vehicle and used to indicate lane changes, turns, and other maneuvers.
(b) Hazard lights shall be operational on both sides of the vehicle and used to warn other road users of temporary stoppages, hazards, or emergency conditions.
(c) Drivers shall maintain signals and hazard lights in proper working condition, free from damage or obstruction, and shall use them only as intended by law.
Violation of this subsection is a Level 1 Infraction.
