A driver shall not operate a motor vehicle on a public roadway unless the vehicle’s horn is fully functional and used in accordance with law. Horn requirements include:

(a) The horn shall be capable of producing an audible sound sufficient to warn other road users of the vehicle’s presence.

(b) Drivers shall use the horn only as necessary to prevent accidents or alert others to immediate danger.

(c) The horn shall not be modified in a manner that increases volume beyond legal limits or causes undue noise.

Violation of this subsection is a Level 4 Infraction.
