(7)4.1.3 License Plate
A driver shall not operate a motor vehicle on a public roadway unless the vehicle displays a valid license plate in accordance with law. License plate requirements include:
(a) The license plate must be issued by the appropriate authority and correspond to the vehicle being operated.
(b) Plates shall be securely attached, clearly visible, and free from obstruction, damage, or alteration.
(c) Temporary or special plates shall be displayed only as authorized by law and in accordance with any applicable time limits.
Violation of this subsection is a Level 4 Infraction.
