(7)3.2.3 Responsibility at a Yield Sign
A driver operating a motor vehicle approaching a yield sign shall:
(a) Slow or stop as necessary: Drivers shall reduce speed and, if required, come to a complete stop to safely yield the right of way.
(b) Yield to other road users: Drivers shall yield to pedestrians, bicyclists, and vehicles already in or approaching the intersection or roadway.
(c) Proceed only when safe: Drivers shall enter or cross the intersection or merge into traffic only when it is safe to do so.
(d) Maintain continuous caution: Even after yielding, drivers remain responsible for ensuring the way is clear before proceeding.
Violation of this subsection constitutes a Level 2 Infraction.
